Weekend Recap

19 Nov

A few things we learned this weekend.

  1. The Office is addicting. LOVE that show. We finished Season 1 late last week & started Season 2 on Saturday. It’s almost as good as Arrested Development.
  2. J~ learned how to put on tights. He said ‘I learned to put on tights today’. I paused a minute & then remembered T~ wore tights to church. I hadn’t thought about J~ not knowing the best way to put on tights. I give him lots of credit for learning on a squirmy baby.
  3. J~ needs to clean more often. He does a great job. Not only is the house picked up, the downstairs floor is mopped & the underside of the couches are free of toys. Amazing.
  4. Being sick stinks, except when it gets you out of cleaning. I didn’t like having a sore throat & chills but it did come in handy on Saturday.

We leave tomorrow after school for MN. We’ll be spending Thanksgiving with both our families & our Vietnamese student Ha. Ha is a grad student at Rural U & is in Rural City for 18 months. She is from Hanoi & even lives in an area of Hanoi we are familiar with. Small world. Anyway, we are hoping to show her a great Thanksgiving. We’ll take her to MN biggest tourist trap, The Mall of America, on Wed. & then the rest of the trip will be spent driving along I90 from K-Parenttown to J-Parenttown visiting various family members. The boys are excited to resume their building projects with Papa. I am excited to resume our Mario Cart Tournament. T~’s excited about torturing Cole with her presence. J~’s excited because he’ll be able to read a Star Tribune daily.

Hopefully we’ll have a chance to update while in MN, but if we don’t, have a great Thanksgiving!

Well, I’m glad Tova is so excited to torture my child! She may be in for a little surprise. He’s not so timid anymore, but we’ll see what happens!

Good taste in TV shows must run in the family. Julie and I are “Office” addicts. Actually, it is pitiful how addicted we are~I have an “I love Jim” mouse pad. I know. It is sad. But a great show! Keep watching! Season two is fabulous!
