Last Trip Post, I Promise

This is the other thing we climbed.

We visited our friend JJ at the Seminary in STL. He’s a tour guide for the campus as well as a student of Greek. It was great to see JJ again. All the kids love JJ & while the boys showed off by acting like recently sprung prisoners, Tova just repeated his name over & over & kept wanting JJ to carry her. She knows how to get to a man’s heart. And impress his new girlfriend.

We attended church with our friends Jill & Mike on Sunday as well. It’s a huge church. They have 3 different service styles, a huge school, & the kids favorite, a slide. In the building.

The service we attended was wonderful. Upbeat, familiar music, a meaningful message, & the setting was like nothing I’ve ever experienced. The service is held in a room called the Warehouse. Very minimal decor, a small worship band (3 guitars, singer, & drummer), a small altar, & the chairs were arranged in rows & in the back were round tables for families with small kids. That was wonderful. The kids could color without dropping hymnals, we had plenty of space for all our stuff & it just made the atmosphere feel small & intimate. I don’t think I can convince Jason to work for his company’s rival (based in STL) so we can join at St John’s. I’d love to though.

After church we had our best STL dining experience at a Red Robin. We’ve never eaten at one before & we’ll definitely be repeat customers. It was loud but that just meant Tova blended. The food was good, & the server made a point of talking to all the kids (there were 5 of them), it was a great place.

I think that about wraps up our trip. Thanks for reading!
